As the Founder + Chief Financial Storyteller at Bright Ledgers, I am a longtime advocate for small businesses. I truly enjoy helping business owners navigate the financial landscape of their business. I have over 25 years of accounting experience and have spent the last 16 years of my career mostly in the nonprofit accounting sector. I have been a full-time entrepreneur since February 2022, and I live by the mission of Bright Ledgers – to help business owners use the financial data in their business to become financially empowered. My goal is to help business owners build a successful and profitable business that serves the life they desire and deserve. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, I am an avid sports fan, and I am a diehard supporter of all Detroit sports teams, especially the Detroit Lions. In my spare time, I love to listen to podcasts and music, and I am a very novice DJ (DJ JenJenB). I cherish spending time with family, friends, and my two Chorkie fur babies, Laila and Cruz. I also enjoy traveling, with desired locations being Northeast Michigan and Temecula, California wine country. Another favorite destination is anywhere my beloved Lions are playing (preferably a location with a warm climate).
